  • Douglas and his tournament host such an entertaining group of people that the event has been broadcasted by Golf Channel in recent years. Names like Morgan Freeman, Alice Cooper, and Mark Wahlberg have all attended.

Golfers have also gotten in on the action. In 2012, Annika Storenstam, Hank Haney, and Jim McLean all participated as celebrity coaches in the golf outing.

The OG Gordon Gekko got hooked on the game after he suffered a skiing accident 25 years ago. He injured his left knee, preventing him from playing tennis so naturally he picked up the game of golf. He described his first experience with the game to GOLF.com:

"Jack Nicholson and I are friends. We decided to give golf a try. I remember being on a driving range and drawing a 4-iron and not conceiving that a ball could go that much farther with a draw. I can still see it now: low and piercing, compared to my high balloon balls. I’ve been chasing that 4-iron draw for years, trying to get it back"

He later says that he broke 80 at The Old Course at St. Andrews with a 79, even fortunate enough to avoid hitting it into the Road Hole hotel. Although, I’d consider it an honor.
