#40: Matt Kuchar–It took a long time, but Kuchar has successfully carved out a niche as the PGA Tour’s Mr. Consistent of the early 2010s. After losing to Tiger Woods in the semifinals of the 1996 U.S. Amateur, he won the event in 1997–until relatively recently, those two events served as his career highlights. Kuchar won a PGA Tour event in 2002 but struggled with retaining his card in the following years; it wasn’t until 2009 that he turned things around and won again. Since then, Kuchar has notched five more wins, including a Players Championship and a WGC. He’s also notched seven top 10s in majors over the past six seasons and topped the PGA Tour money list in 2010. Not bad for a guy who was lighting it up on the Web.com Tour as recently as 2006.
