#38: Dustin Johnson–If the wind had blown a bit differently, if the greens at Chambers Bay were a little bit slower, if a clubhead hadn’t been burrowed into the soft ground of a Whistling Straits bunker…yeah, Johnson would be higher on this list. Instead, all he’s got to show for his PGA Tour career to this point are nine wins and a whole lot of scar tissue–things could be worse, but they could be a lot better, too. Still, among those victories are two WGCs and two FedEx Cup playoff events, and Johnson has won a PGA Tour tournament in each of the past seven seasons, the longest current streak in the game. At the end of the day, he’s been wildly successful, and fans can’t wait to see him take a few more cracks at the hallowed four.
