#36: Mark Calcavecchia–Definitely more of a presence in the previous generation, Calcavecchia doesn’t really feel like a peer of Tiger Woods. However, this 1989 Champion Golfer of the Year won five of his 13 events in 1997 or later, so he qualifies. After that major win, there isn’t too much to talk about, though–no WGCs, no really close calls at the majors–just a bunch of rank-and-file PGA Tour wins. 13 and one is pretty good to be ranked so far down on this list, but I’m penalizing him Calcavecchia bit for accomplishing so much prior to the rise of Tiger Woods. Still, he should be remembered as a quality player who hung around for a long time, if not a hall of famer.
