#47: Hunter Mahan–One of the more consistent American players of the last decade, Mahan was the only person to play in every FedEx Cup playoff event through 2014–a stat that shows just how good he’s been on his home soil since 2007. In fact, he doesn’t have quite as many victories as you might expect him to, but when he does win, it’s impressive–two WGCs and a playoff event comprise half of his career total of six. With eight top 10s in the majors, he’s still searching for his first, but Mahan is the kind of guy who could luck into one if he keeps knocking on the door. Currently wrapping up a relatively poor season, dreams of finally winning a major should help him focus on the future.
