#43: Charl Schwartzel–This South African won the Masters in 2011, but other than that, it’s been a fairly unspectacular career for him. True, Schwartzel has nine European Tour victories to his name, but six of those were co-sanctioned with South Africa’s Sunshine Tour and featured a low level of competition. Furthermore, Schwartzel has done very little in the majors to go along with his victory–he’s got just three other top 10s, and nothing in the top five. At just 31 years old, he has a lot of time to do more, but for now, his lone stateside win will only get him so far on this list.
