With six events and the CME Group Tour Championship still remaining to be played, even though Inbee Park currently holds the lead in Rolex Player of the Year points she certainly doesn’t have a lock on the award.

The LPGA Rolex Player of the Year award is based on a straightforward formula: points are awarded for top-10 finishes and are doubled at the LPGA’s four major championships and at the season-ending Tour Championship.

So heading into the Tour’s fall Asian swing players will be able to accumulate Player of the Year points from six regular tournaments (for an unlikely maximum of 180 points to a single player who wins all remaining events) and an additional 60 points from the Tour Championship.

But assuming that everyone in the top-10 in the Rolex Rankings has the talent to notch at least one win during the remaining events of the 2015 season and add 30 points to their current score, and assuming that Inbee Park doesn’t win but accumulates at least 10 points for top-10 finishes in the remaining 7 events, then we can see five players who could edge out Park for the Tour’s Player of the Year award.
