Rookie of the Year
Daniel Berger
It was pretty difficult to decide who was the best rookie in 2015. You had the likes of Tony Finau, Nick Taylor, and Justin Thomas, but I’m going with Daniel Berger as my Rookie of the Year.

It came down to JT and Berger and while Thomas has two more top 25 finishes than Berger, it was the top five finishes that sold me. Berger has two runner-up finishes while Justin’s best finish was a T-4.
Berger also leads all rookies in earnings this season with $3,028,901 and finished as low rookie in the FedEx Cup standings at 11th. He finished the season 13 top 25s and made 17 cuts.
The Florida State alum found himself with a shot of winning the Honda Classic back in March, but fell short in a playoff against Padraig Harrington. He really made a statement towards the end of the year in the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
He was the only rookie to qualify for the TOUR Championship and even finished in solo second at the BMW Championship. Unfortunately for Berger, it was Jason Day who was running away with the tournament and didn’t have a hope of catching him.
The 22 year old hit a rough stretch in July and August, but found his groove in the final three playoff events, placing no worse than T-12. It will be exciting to see what kind of campaign he puts together when the new season starts up in the end of October.
