Louis Oosthuizen–This South African also toiled through the 2015 season without picking up a win, but unlike that of Kuchar, Oosthuizen’s performance represents a major step forward. After struggling with a laundry list of injuries over the past couple of seasons, he finally proved that he could stay relatively healthy and productive for an extended period of time. After a strong spring, he really started to turn it on once the calendar turned to June but couldn’t find a victory, enduring playoff losses at both the U.S. Open and the Open Championship. He rode those results all the way to his first Tour Championship since 2012, and his current world ranking of No. 12 is the best it’s been in years. While Oosthuizen might not have added anything to the trophy case in 2015, he once again proved that he can compete at the highest level; going forward, that’s more important than another win would be.
