PGA Tour – 2014-15 Season Report Card

Rory McIlroy–What a weird season it was for last year’s year-end world No. 1. With a pair of PGA Tour victories and another win on the European Tour, you can’t say that it wasn’t successful, yet McIlroy didn’t seriously contend at any of the year’s four majors, a tremendous disappointment. Throw in a mid-season ankle injury that knocked him out of the Open Championship, and the campaign becomes a very difficult one to evaluate. Ultimately, despite his lack of major fireworks, McIlroy won multiple times in 2015 and cracked the top 10 in nine out of his 16 starts. Even relatively speaking, there’s a limit to how low you can grade a season like that. Grade: B
