No. 3: Adam Scott/Jimmy Walker–Is this year’s Presidents Cup going to be played on Bermudagrass? No? Well, guess we can cross Walker off of our list. The five-time PGA Tour winner went on his usual exemplary run through the early part of the season and has reliably faded, notching just one top 25 in a full-field event in his last ten starts. Scott, meanwhile, had a poor season and limped to the finish, but his energy may have been sapped by making four consecutive starts, a rare occurrence for him. Team International’s roster is top-heavy, and they’ll need a rested, clear-minded Scott to be a productive part of that front-loaded lineup if the want a chance at the Cup. It might go against what he’s shown us this year, but I’m betting that he’ll show up to play. Advantage: Team International
