Johnson, the current Champion Golfer of the Year, was slightly more productive, however; his tie for fourth out of 125 at the Barclays was the top finish of that lot. Still, it’s close, almost a dead heat. Ultimately, Johnson’s match play experience outweighs the value of the quasi-home crowd advantage that Matsuyama will receive as an Asian player.
