No. 7: Patrick Reed/Anirban Lahiri–After a tie for fourth at the Deutsche Bank and a top 30 at the BMW Championship, it may have appeared that Reed was heating up in advance of the Presidents Cup, but a solo 27th at the Tour Championship–second from last–makes him much more of an enigma this week. Lahiri, on the other hand, has been rock-solid over his last three starts, tying for fifth at the PGA Championship before reeling off top 10s in both of his Web.com Tour Finals starts (and earning his 2015-16 Tour card along the way). This is really a question of how much value to assign to those Finals events. If you’re inclined to disregard them, then Reed would seem to be a relatively easy choice. I’m not so sure that I agree with that view, though; a good finish is an indication of good form, even if it wasn’t on one of the golf world’s top circuits. Lahiri’s better rested, too. Advantage: Team International
