After a very successful performance at the Frys.com Open, we’ll try to keep the momentum going at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

We had a ton of lineups that were very high up there and with a couple of tweaks here and there we could have made some serious cash.

If we put Justin Thomas with the Kevin Na lineup, switched out Brendon Todd for Patrick Rodgers, etc. But, that’s life in the DFS world and it was still very good money definitely nothing to sneeze at.

So, anyway, we’ll look to carry that success this week at the Shriners Open. Unfortunately, the prize structure on DraftKings has changed this week. DraftKings has run the “Drive to the Green” contest for the longest time now, but not this week.

That’s the contest where you could have turned three dollars into $100,000. This week, it’s only a modest $15,000 to first place, with $200,000 in total prizes.

This is the part of the year where football is going on and golf is on the back-burner for a bit, so maybe it shouldn’t be all that surprising.

Anyway, there’s still a lot of money up for grabs this week. To give you the best chance at winning, you are going to want to target scorers. Golfers that score a lot of birdies and eagles. Golfers that get after it, bomb it a long ways, rock solid tee-to-green are attributes to look for.

I know that’s sort of stating the obvious, but TPC Summerlin is such an easy course that you don’t need to do anything special here.

You don’t need to have a high apex height, or play well in the wind, or be deadly accurate off the tee or anything like that. Just play golf. Get it out in the fairway, pin seek, and convert birdie and eagle opportunities.

One last thing, unlike last week, you don’t have to put a premium on putting. TPC Summerlin is not like the Silverado North Course where the greens were difficult to putt on.

TPC Summerlin isn’t difficult at all. Extremely poor putters turn into decent putters here. That is why someone like Webb Simpson has won here in the past.

Now, that the table is set and you have an idea of whom to target, let’s get into specific golfers to target. Here are the Shriners Open DraftKings fantasy picks.
