$10,100 to $9,500

Typically, the five digits stay in their own slide, but I was writing this before DraftKings released their salaries and I didn’t anticipate Ryan Moore ($10,000) and Brandt Snedeker ($10,100) actually being this expensive. So, here they are.

I don’t mind Moore, but that’s a steep price point. DraftKings took forever in releasing the salaries (again) and I originally thought Moore would be over owned. Scratch that. Now, he is overpriced.

The popular rhetoric around fantasy circles will be is the fact that Moore lives in Las Vegas and went to school at UNLV. But, I don’t think that matters a whole lot now.

Moore is a risk at this price point, he might pay off, but I would have liked him a whole lot better if he was a thousand dollars cheaper.

After barely making the cut, Snedeker had a quality week in Napa. Snedeker, all of a sudden, has some momentum heading into Las Vegas. Last year, Sneds played the Shriners Open for the first time and finished in the top ten.

Again, I thought he would be a nice value pick, but eh, not so much anymore. I like Snedeker, but again, that’s a lot to pay up for.

Jimmy Walker ($9,900) is a fade for me. I was on the fence about Walker given this is the time of year he turns it on and he has had a lot of success here at Shriners, but that’s a lot of money.

Walker is coming off a poor showing at the Presidents Cup which has been status quo for Walker of late. J-Walk has recorded only one top ten in his last thirteen tournaments.

We’ll end this slide on someone I do like a lot. I’m basically all in on Tony Finau ($9,800). Finau is basically a cheaper version of Koepka. Finau is going to bomb it all around and make his share of birdies and eagles.

Finau didn’t have the best of weeks at the Frys.com Open, but I’m not worried about that. Finau was consistent and his stats lined up with what he did last year. The Silverado North Course doesn’t exactly fit his game, but he still managed a solid enough finish.

Finau heads to a course that is more tailored to his game and I believe he will be in contention this week. A win wouldn’t surprise me at all.
