2. Danny Willett
Danny Willett has played the most European Tour events of anyone within the top five of the standings. Willett competed in 19 events with Shane Lowry being the next closest with 14.
Willett started off his season on the European Tour with a victory at the Nedbank Golf Challenge. Danny shot a career best 18-under to win by four shots after finishing with rounds of 65-66.
His other victory came at the Omega European Masters, which marked his third career win in his 180th start.
Other notable finishes for the Englishman include a T-4 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, solo third at the WGC-Cadillac Championship, and a tie for third at the Open D’Italia. Willett has four top five finishes this season and seven top 10s.
The Open Championship was a successful trip for Willett as well. He ended up tied for sixth, but not before he grabbed the 36-hole lead after Friday’s round.
