2015-16 WGC-HSBC Champions Power Rankings

It’s a WGC event this week which means it’s both a PGA and European Tour event.

It’s the WGC-HSBC Championship which is either the first or last WGC event of the year depending on your perspective.

For me, this is my favorite WGC event. I like this even more so than the Match Play which I absolutely love, but the WGC-HSBC Champions just nicks it out.

For one, Sheshan is a fantastic golf course. It’s a fun course that does yield a number of birdies, but it isn’t outrageous. It’s a fair golf course.

However, the number one reason this is my favorite WGC event is the fact that we get some night golf.

There is something special when you are watching golf at night.

It also helps when it comes down to the wire and some shots are made, which was the case last year.

Bubba had a bunker shot on 17, but flubbed it and he went on to double bogey the hole.

All looked lost for Bubba, but he bounced back on 18 by holing out a bunker shot for eagle.

A playoff would be needed and eventually Bubba would win by sinking a beautiful putt.

Anyway, that was last year and we can only hope we get the same sort of finish.

So, with that said, here are the WGC-HSBC Champions power rankings.
