Graeme McDowell has been putting a lot of work into his game to get himself back inside the top 50 in the world and his dedication is beginning to show.

The Ulsterman had a rough year in 2014-15. He dropped out of the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking and missed six cuts in 15 starts on TOUR. McDowell only has one top 10 finish in his last 25 worldwide starts.

“It’s been a frustrating year but that’s the game of golf we know and love and you’ve got to take the rough with the smooth and keep trying.”

Despite the hiccup in his game, Graeme has spent a lot of time working to get back inside the top 50 and it’s starting to show. He’s starting to find a groove with the OHL Classic at Mayakoba this week in Mexico and he’s got a positive attitude heading into this season.

“Mentally I’m looking forward to the new season and just trying to put this year behind me I suppose. I’m driving it better which is a big key. The two things that have left me down this season has been my driving and my putting, which are normally huge strengths for me.”

McDowell has certainly fallen off since his 2010 win at the U.S. Open, but I think this is the year the Northern Irishman gets his career back on track. His hard work and positive attitude will turn into success in 2016.
