Rodgers had a successful run on the Web.com Tour and looks to continue his luck in his first season as a member of the PGA TOUR.
My must-watch rookie for the 2015-16 season is none other than Jordan Spieth’s good buddy’s roommate. That’s right, Justin Thomas’ roommate is rookie Patrick Rodgers and that’s the newest narrative you’ll hear from the broadcast booth this season.
The former Stanford golfer tied Tiger Woods school record of 11 collegiate wins while in college and enters his first year as a member of the PGA TOUR. He earned his card by placing 24th on the Web.com money list, but he also placed inside the top 125 on the PGA TOUR last season, despite not being a member.
He’s had a good start to the new season with top-20 finishes in all three of his starts. Rodgers’ best showing was a T-6 at the Frys.com Open.
There have been five first-time winners on TOUR this season and Rodgers has put himself line to be the next to do so. Rodgers is a great value pick for your fantasy golf lineups.
