31. Se Ri Pak
Pak was the first woman from Korea to play on the LPGA tour. She competed against Annika Sorenstam. Her breakthrough win in the 1998 U.W. Women’s Open put her and Korean women’s golf on the map.
At the time she was the youngest winner of the U.S. Women’s Open. She was also the youngest living golfer to qualify for the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Pak competed in a men’s professional event in 2003 in Korea, and she made the cut. She had such an influence in Korea that a statue of her is in front of Gonju stadium.
Worldwide, Pak has 39 victories, 25 of which are on the LPGA Tour. She won the LPGA three times, the U.S. Women’s Open once and the Women’s British Open once.
