25. Betsy King

King played on the NCAA team at Furman University that won the national championship. From there she began a professional career that concluded with 39 victories, 34 of which were on the LPGA. She had a victory in each year for a pan of ten years starting in 1984.

King’s first tournament victory was the 1984 Women’s Kemper Open, seven years after she turned professional.
LPGA Player of the Year and leading money winner in 1984, 1989 and 1993. She captured the Vare Trophy for low scoring average in 1987 and 1993. King won six majors: three at Kraft, twice at the U.S. Women’s Open and once at the LPGA.

King earned a spot on the Solheim Cup team five times, 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996 and 1998. She captained the team in 2007. She won six majors: three at Kraft, twice at the U.S. Women’s Open and once at the LPGA.
