13. Sam Snead

Snead’s PGA Tour record of 82 victories is currently being chased down by Tiger Woods, but for now Snead still is in the No. 1 spot. Snead won seven majors including three Masters, three PGAs and one British Open. While he finished second multiple times in the U.S. Open, he never won that event. Snead won 165 times worldwide, with 14 on the Champions Tour.

Snead turned professional in 1931. He won in five decades, from the 1930s to the 1980s.
But what is more amazing, he played in eight decades, beginning with the West Virginia Closed Pro in 1931 and ending with his last official start in the Legends of Golf in 2000.

He was leading money winner in 1938, 1949 and 1950. He won the Vardon Trophy for low scoring average in 1938, 1949, 1950 and 1955. H was Player of the Year in 1949.
Snead is the oldest to win on the PGA Tour with a victory at the Greater Greensboro Open at age 52 years 10 months.
