After hoisting the first trophy of his career last month, Russell Knox looks to turn the trick again.
This Scot has spent just four weeks as a top 50 player, but given the way Knox has been playing lately, he belongs on the shortlist of contenders nonetheless. The man has reeled off back-to-back top twos, including a win in his first WGC start at the HSBC Champions.
Even though he’ll be a first-timer at the Nedbank, Knox’s well-rounded game and impeccable form make him a natural pick to contend. A victory here would probably lift him into the world’s top 20, which would make for a real rags-to-riches story here in the final weeks of the calendar year.
