Jaco Van Zyl–Just when his solo second at the Turkish Airlines Open was starting to look like an aberration, this native South African validated it with a tie for eighth at last week’s Alfred Dunhill Championship.

Although he’s been a mainstay of South African golf for well over a decade now, Van Zyl will be make his first start at the Nedbank this week. He’d love to make up for lost time and hoist a trophy in front of the homecrowd. It would be his first win anywhere since 2013, when he notched a trio of Sunshine Tour victories.
