Andy Sullivan will try to convert his Dubai runner-up to a win in Sun City.
Andy Sullivan is more than ready to tee it up this week, looking to parlay his runner-up finish in Dubai into a win at Sun City and I think he stands a good chance of doing exactly that even though he’ll have to play past some powerful golfers to get there.
Like Dubuisson, Sullivan is a man on the move, even if the young Englishman can’t match the Frenchman’s facial hair. Sullivan limbered up his sticks for his 2015 Portugal Masters victory but he may face a bit of a disadvantage in Sun City because at times he’s a bit wild off the tee. But we’ll see how it goes. If he can control his long game, he’ll probably be able to hold his own on Player’s nicely designed greens.
Whether or not he has the staying power to stay in the mix on Sunday remains to be seen, but Sullivan tends to play very well in South Africa and I’m looking for his name to be inside the top-10 when it’s over and done.
