OWGR no. 31, Byeong-Hun An could be ready to notch his 2nd pro win this week in Sun City.

Byeong-Hun An is at the earliest stage of his pro career and I find him to be one of the most exciting young players on any of the pro tours, perhaps with the exception of Sei Young Kim, who just finished her rookie year on the LPGA Tour with 3 victories and the Louise Suggs Rookie of the Year award.

More from European tour

An came to his pro career with the US Amateur title in his pocket and he claimed his maiden pro victory this year at the BMW PGA Championship.  Most recently, his T4 finish at the DP World Tour Championship makes very clear that An’s momentum is up and his game is ready to compete at the highest level.

An has increased his distance off the tee without sacrificing accuracy and his work on the putting surface is impressive.  How will his game fare in the Sun City venue?  Quite well, I think.  Now could be the time for An to cash in his potential and put another victory on his resume.
