Henrik Stenson Tops Nedbank Golf Challenge Fantasy Picks
Even though Danny Willett wasn’t able to break McIlroy’s lock on Dubai, he’s coming into the Nedbank as one of the strongest contenders in the field.
Even though time ran out for Danny Willett on his way to Dubai, he’s been cutting quite a figure on the golf course in 2015. I really thought for a while that he might be able to break Rory McIlroy’s lock on the Race to Dubai, and he almost did, until he stumbled over a bogey at the BMW Masters.

Willett seems to have his professional priorities in line. He’s turned down a PGA TOUR card for the 2015-16 season, preferring to stay put and focus his energies on European Tour and major events. He’s the defending champion at the Nedbank and his game has never looked as good as it does right now. I see Willett poised to make some big career moves in the coming year and we’ll have the opportunity to see how well he’s managed to fine tune himself when he tees it up this week.
I don’t think we’ll see Willett playing on US soil until the azaleas bloom, but by then he’s going to be bringing a very refined and competitive game to Augusta. While we wait, let’s see what he can do with the competition at Sun City. I think there’s a very good chance he’ll make mincemeat of them.
