#3: Cameron Tringale will look to defend his title this week, while newcomer Chris Kirk is looking for his first Shootout title.

Poor Cameron Tringale. The winner of the Shootout last year, he was supposed to defend the title with his old partner: world No. 2 Jason Day. Alas, Day pulled out of this week’s event in order to spend more time with his infant daughter. With Kirk as his teammate, Tringale’s chances of going back-to-back will drop dramatically.

Kirk has fallen all the way to world No. 41, albeit with a tie for 18th in his last start. It is Tringale who will have to carry this team–but with a trio of top 15s in his last four starts, I still like his chances to do just that.
