#7: Billy Horschel and Hunter Mahan both look to rebound from disappointing seasons.
Somewhat surprisingly, this will be Mahan’s first Franklin Templeton Shootout, so he’ll be taking cues from his partner. Horschel, last year’s FedEx Cup champion, has never missed out on the top five in two Shootout appearances, finishing third with Ian Poulter last year. Unfortunately, his form isn’t the best; he hasn’t found the top 25 since the PGA Championship back in August. Ditto for Mahan–he tied for 19th in his last start but has been erratic this year. But if class is permanent, they have a chance.
