20. 2009 Buick Open
The Buick Open is one of those tournaments that Tiger Woods has owned throughout his career and 2009 was no different. It’s only fitting that he won the event for the third time of his career in the event’s final year.
The Buick Open shut down after the 2009 season, but Tiger still coasted to at three-stroke victory. It was his biggest comeback to win a tournament after his first round. Big Cat opened with a 1-under 71 and was tied for 95th place after the first day.
He’d regroup quickly, however, starting with the second round. He fired went six under in the first five holes of his second round to give him the best five-hole start of his career. Woods went birdie-birdie-eagle-birdie-birdie to put himself back in contention.
Tiger ended up -20 for the tournament for the 69th victory of his career. He reached 69 wins at 33 years old, seven months, which is seven years quicker than Jack Nicklaus and eight years quicker than Sam Snead.
