Tiger Woods: 30 Best Wins of His Career
By Matt Cochran
26. 2012 Arnold Palmer Invitational
After that one unfortunate Thanksgiving night in 2009, there was a stretch of golf where fans didn’t know if they’d ever see Tiger Woods win again. He disappeared for some time, and when he finally did return, he just didn’t have the same electricity.
The 2012 Arnold Palmer Invitational was one of the biggest moments of Tiger’s career. After months of criticism from the media, Big Cat finally ended his winless drought dating back to the 2009 season. The monkey was finally off his back.
Graeme McDowell was paired with Tiger in the final grouping, but never really stood a chance of taking him down. It was a tournament Woods had won six times before, and he was finally starting to find his groove again.
He finished at 13-under and cruised to a five-shot victory for his seventh Arnold Palmer Invitational title and first win in close three years. It was his 72 career victory.
