Whether or not you like the owner of Turnberry now or not is irrelevant. Turnberry is an excellent course with a lot of quality history on its resume.
Trump Turnberry has hosted only four Open Championships, but each tournament was memorable with worthy winners.
Tom Watson won here in 1977 followed by Greg Norman in 1986, Nick Price in 1994, and Stewart Cink in 2009 where he defeated Watson in a playoff.
Trump Turnberry has hosted the Senior Open Championship seven times and the Women’s British Open twice.
