Winged Foot Golf Club has seen its fair share of championships.

Winged Foot has hosted the U.S. Open Championship five times, the U.S. Amateur two times, the Women’s U.S. Open two times, a U.S. Senior Open, and a PGA Championship.

It has also been a part of some very memorable moments including the 2006 U.S. Open where Phil Mickelson used his driver on eighteen which cost him the championship as he double-bogeyed the hole.

That was the last championship, but in 2020 Winged Foot will be back to host the U.S. Open.
