The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Resort opened in 1991, but it has already seen its fair share of memorable moments.
The Ocean Course was the site of the 1991 Ryder Cup, “The War By The Shore” one of the greatest Ryder Cups of all-time. In 2012, the Ocean Course hosted the PGA Championship that Rory McIlroy won.
It’s also worth mentioning that the Ocean Course was in the movie The Legend of Bagger Vance.
The Ocean Course is a very long course, and it’s extremely tough, but the views are beautiful up along the coastline. Like Whistling Straits, posting some high scores here at the Ocean Course might not be as bad as they usually are.
