You just can’t go wrong with the gift of golf.
Kathlene Bissell
Kathlene’s secret wish isn’t at all complicated. She wants a round of golf at Pebble Beach. Who wouldn’t? Why not toss in two nights at the resort as well? And a pair of 1.5 caret diamond studs to wear while she plays her round?
And a new set of clubs as well? TaylorMade has introduced Kalea, a model designed specifically for women that blends aesthetically beautiful designs and color finishes. with optimized lofts, low/back CG locations, slot technology in the soles and Kalea SlimTech shafts with smaller tip diameters that help increase launch angle at impact.
I think she should have included a caddie in her wish list, because I can’t think of anything more luxurious than playing Pebble with the help of a good caddie. I got the round plus the caddie for a birthday present one year and can tell you it’s quite the perfect gift for a golfer.
But giving the gift of golf doesn’t have to be high end. One of my favorite stocking gifts that comes every year like clockwork is a coupon from my non-golfing partner for a day of golf and lunch at a course of my choosing within driving distance of our home. (The coupon includes some extras: the non-golfer makes the tee time, drives to the golf course, drives the golf cart, keeps score, pays the greens fee and buys lunch – it’s a total golf date.) I favor a golf course at a nearby state park. It’s not high-end golf but there’s a delicious down home lunch buffet and the company is excellent.
Check out Troon Cards if you’re thinking about the gift of golf. We’re in luck again. I reviewed this one:

There are other golf discount options floating around – a weekend of golf and spa pampering isn’t going to be turned down by anybody. A weekend of golf school could be great fun. Check out these options at Pinehurst.
Finally, there are lessons – everything ranging from one lesson with a local pro to a series of lessons. There’s not a golfer in the world who can’t improve something about his or her game. Locate a local PGA-certified or LPGA-certified teaching pro and set it up. Your golfer will kiss you!
The cost: Just whip out your AmEx card and don’t look!
