2. Tiger Woods Accepts His Decline

It’s safe to say that Tiger Woods is on the declining years of his career and it’s something that many golf fans have come to accept, except for Tiger himself.

Although his future is in doubt, Big Cat has finally started to realize that his time is coming to a close. I’m not saying that he will never win again, but it finally appears that he’s coming to grasps with this very real possibility.

  • There was a stretch early on in 2015 when Tiger would go out and hack the ball around in tournaments, ultimately missing cut after cut. It was hard to watch, but Woods would enter his press conferences and try convincing the media that he had everything under control.

He’d blame his poor play on swing patterns or say he’d have to check out his ‘spin rates,’ deflecting the fact that he didn’t quite have the same flair that he used to.

However after his second back surgery, we aren’t sure what Tiger’s timetable for return is looking like and he’s stopped making excuses. For the first time in his career, Woods faced the media and gave honest answers before his event at the Hero World Challenge.

Tiger has put his life into perspective and realized that being a part of his kids’ lives is more important than winning golf tournaments. It’s reassuring to see that Tiger is finally at peace with the fact that he’s not on top of the game anymore.
