Coming off of a dream season, Jordan Spieth leads in points and is all but guaranteed a spot on the team.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise. In 2015, Spieth’s record at the four majors included two wins, a runner-up and a tie for fourth, giving him nearly 5,500 points as we head towards the new year. Two years ago, the cutoff for making the team on merit was around 3,500, so barring something crazy, the world No. 1 has probably already clinched his spot.
After an incredible 18 top 10 finishes around the world in 2015, Spieth projects to once again be one of the PGA Tour’s most prolific players in the new season and has a great chance to add to his major haul. You can bet on his presence at Hazeltine.
