After breaking out in 2015, Kevin Kisner will have to prove that he’s more than just a flash in the pan.
Just a few weeks ago, Kisner was on the outside looking in, but he picked up a huge boost by finishing second at the WGC-HSBC Champions (the only autumn event that awards Ryder Cup points). The Georgia product is now ahead of veterans like Bubba Watson, Matt Kuchar and Brandt Snedeker.
Now all the way up to No. 18 in the world rankings, there’s no telling how much higher Kisner can rise as the calendar turns. Some kind of regression appears to be inevitable, but for now, he’s done what he’s needed to do to keep pace.
