Willett was a little bit more up-and-down on the PGA Tour and some of the bigger events. However, he showed his potential upside as he hung in there at The Open Championship finishing T-6.
Willett followed that up with a quality T-17 finish at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
Willett is a very confident young man with a pep in his step. He exudes that star making quality that you can’t help but feel he will reach them one day.
It’ll be interesting to watch to see if Willett can build upon what he did in 2015. Another win or two on the European Tour would go a long way, as well as some growth in some of the bigger events.
Willett is already off to a good start as he finished T-3 at the WGC-HSBC Champions last month.
