18. Waialae Country Club: True Golf Classics

Waialae Country Club: True Golf Classics is a game that doesn’t offer much in terms of features, but it’s a game that will take a lot of time to master.

Developed: T&E Soft

Published: Nintendo

Release Date: July 1998

As we talked about earlier, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2001 was one of the first games my household bought on the PlayStation 2.

A few years earlier on the Nintendo 64, Waialae Country Club: True Golf Classics was one of the first games we bought on that system.

This was, and still is, a game that is very tough. You definitely can’t go in there and just dominate right off the bat. It takes a lot of skill and a lot of patience.

I remember playing this when I was younger and just getting chewed up time and time again.

Now, that I’m older I’ve since rectified that and I got my fair share of wins, but it’s very difficult.

Given just how sensitive the three click swing is it all could come undone on one swing or one hole. You have to focus on every single shot.

There wasn’t a whole lot other than playing a round of golf or a four round tournament, but it was fun and it was quite the challenge.

It’s very rough-looking, but if you are looking for something a little different and something challenging I would recommend Waialae Country Club.
