LPGA: Ten 2015 Hot Shots

This beautifully executed shot was almost perfect.

This is probably the shot Austin Ernst will remember from her 2015 CME Group Tour Championship, that excellent 2nd shot from the fairway that almost got her an eagle on the final hole of the first round.

That was Ernst’s best round in Naples.  She followed her first round 66 with a second round that began with a triple bogey. Ouch!

The young player didn’t see the 60s again and finished the Tour Championship sharing 14th place with Stacy Lewis and Suzann Pettersen, among others. But if she’s a smart golfer, and I sense that Austin Ernst is very savvy about her mental game, this is the shot she’ll hold on to as she limbers up her sticks for 2016.
