LPGA: Ten 2015 Hot Shots
A good approach has the grace of ballet.
Another approach shot? Yes! It’s the most underrated and at the same time perhaps the most crucial shot in every hole we play. Watch the young rookie hold her finish. She’s as graceful as a ballet dancer.
Like Dame Laura Davies, Alison Lee executes her approach to perfection. Lee nearly holed out for eagle on the par-4 17th hole in her 3rd round at the CP Canadian Pacific Women’s Open. The tap-in birdie that followed sent $5000 to the BC Children’s Hospital and pushed Lee to a 6-under par 66 for her best round of the tournament.
Lydia Ko was holding the spotlight in Canada and local fans were cheering for Brooke Henderson, but Alison Lee finished T5th and secured her spot on the United States Solheim Cup team that week, where she put her classic form to very good use.
