The Europeans are fielding a near-magical 12 man team that’s packed with talent and experience.

The second edition of the EurAsia Cup gets under way at the Glenmarie Golf and Country Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this week. Despite the sweltering conditions – the combined head and humidity have sent the Europeans digging through their bags for their shorts – Captains Darren Clarke and Jeev Milkha Singh are both predicting another tight battle.

The inaugural EurAsia Cup ended in an unbelievable 10-10 tie; and while Clarke has front-loaded the European team with two Ryder Cup heavy hitters – Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood – he doesn’t think that necessarily gives his team the advantage.

"We are playing in the Asian team’s backyard, so they are a bit more used to the heat and humidity than we are, which may give them a bit of an advantage. When the humidity comes with this sort of heat, it is quite oppressive. And it probably feels even hotter than the last time we were here. But with the co-sanctioned events we have in Asia, the Europeans do have experience playing here.  – Darren Clark"

But let Clark tell you himself how he’s approaching this week of team competition

Although all of Clarke’s 12 players are bringing deep match play experience to the week, only Victor Dubuisson is a carry-over from the European 2014 team.
