ForeGals

  • Poppy's Pond and Dinah Shore beckon the 2018 ANA Inspiration champion ForeGals
  • Morgan and Friends wrap up another successful fundraiser ForeGals
  • There’s going to be a four-way battle for the top of the board at The Dinah. Lexi Thompson, Stacy Lewis, Morgan Pressel and defending champion Brittany Lincicome are going to get involved in a Sunday Shootout that will have all of us nibbling our fingernails.

They’ve all won this event and taken the Poppy’s Pond leap. They all know the Rancho Mirage course very well. And they’re all highly motivated.

Lincicome could get her ticket to Rio punched with a win. Lewis just plain needs a victory to exorcise 2015. Thompson’s star is ascending and a win would put her within reach of the top of the Rolex Rankings. And Pressel, who has a Class AAA game in her bag, is due.

I consulted with Allie White, the Ladies Dream Golf 2016 Associate Pro about this one, but we couldn’t agree. Allie likes the Pink Panther and Mrs. Clutch for the Legendary Leap.

I have to depart from Allie White’s prediction. Pressel will pull out that championship game, put it to work, and take a second leap this year.
