Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic Fantasy Picks
Jaye Marie Green could maximize your fantasy team’s total points with a 2nd high finish this week.
Picking a fantasy team member from the lower half of the field’s rankings gets a little trickier. While picking a winner from the third group would really boost a Pick-4 fantasy team’s score, the odds of that happening are very slender. A safer approach is selecting somebody who’s likely to make the cut.
Paula Creamer’s in this group and if you want to make a comfortable pick with a player who always delivers the best game in her bag, Creamer could be your choice. The same could be said of Catriona Matthew and she, too, would be a solid pick for your fantasy team.
Carola Cignada also looks like an interesting choice. The Spaniard started 25 Tour events in 2015 and made the cut 70% of the time. She played all four rounds at the 2015 Pure Silk-Bahamas and while she finished rather far down the board, she made the cut and knows the course.
Kim Kaufman also looks like a possibility. Kaufman started in 28 Tour events last year and made the cut in 75% of them. However, Pure Silk-Bahamas was one of the events in which Kaufman missed the cut. Although her short game is better than average, Kaufman may not have a game that’s suited to the Ocean Course cross-winds.
Jaye Marie Green is another player who brings some intriguing possibilities to the Pure Silk-Bahamas fantasy picks. She made 27 starts in 2015 and made the cut 67% of the time. However, the bulk of those missed cuts took place early in the season. Green was struggling with her mental game, which got a big boost at the US Women’s Open. And she notched that top-10 finish at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational. Just to set the bait, I note that she also finished T11, alongside Stacy Lewis, at the 2015 Pure Silk-Bahamas.
While there are a number of good additions to a Pick-4 team in this group I’m looking for Green to come to the tee at the Ocean Course ready to play some golf and I’m also looking for her to deliver that game through 72 holes.
