Pat Perez

Price: $7,000

Pat Perez is another golfer I’ve been pretty bullish on this season, but he hasn’t really found anything to click. It’s odd because Perez usually plays well during the West Coast Swing, but I’ll give him one more chance this week.

One of his benefits is that his lackluster play has dropped him down to $7,000 for the AT&T Pebble Beach Classic, a tournament he’s played well at the last few years. He tied for fourth in 2015 and tied for seventh in 2014.

The other advantage Patty P has is his wedge play. Like I said earlier, the shorter course means golfers will be hitting a decent amount of approach shots from 125 yards and in. Perez’s success is well documented in this area.

He’s currently tied for second on the PGA TOUR in proximity from 100-125 yards with an average of 10′ 10″. He’s also tied for eighth in approaches from 50-125 yards. The wedge play is there for this guy. Let’s give him one more chance this week at a fairly cheap price.
