Predicting the winners for 2016’s golf majors: ProGolfNow’s 2016 predictions.

The 2015 golf majors were the most exciting in recent memory. From Spieth’s wire-to-wire win at Augusta, to Dustin Johnson’s 3-putt the 72nd at the U.S. Open, to Zach Johnson’s playoff win at St. Andrews, and Jason Day’s annihilation of Whistling Straits, those contests gave us memories that we will still hold on to 10 years from now.

In 2016 you should expect much of the same. Golf is tremendously exciting and the depth on the PGA TOUR is unlike anything we have seen in the game’s history. The guys at the very top, however, are grabbing all the headlines. That is a great thing for the game.

You all know who I’m talking about: the “Big 4” – Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, Jason Day, and Rickie Fowler. While I believe we can come up with a more clever name than “Big 4” to label these guys, they have shown the consistency and talent needed for us to distinguish them from everybody else.

So will the “Big 4” sweep the 2016 majors? Let’s take a closer look.
