Honda Classic DraftKings Sleeper Picks

Set your DraftKings lineups with these sleeper picks for the Honda Classic to help you afford those bigger names.
The PGA TOUR begins the Florida Swing this week with the start of the Honda Classic at PGA National. Many of the golfers reside in the Jupiter area, which has helped the field grow stronger each year.
Names like Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler live in Jupiter and will be in attendance this week, along with 11 other golfers inside the top 25 of the Official World Golf Ranking. With so many impressive names playing PGA National, you’ll want to make some room to plug these names into your DraftKings lineups.
However, the only way you’ll be able to afford these guys is if you find enough value throughout the rest of the field. This shouldn’t be difficult to do, however. There are plenty of names trending upward entering the Honda Classic this week and other names who have past success at PGA National.
This week, I’m looking for golfers who can tame hole Nos. 15, 16, and 17, also known as the “Bear Trap.” It’s also going to be crucial to have guys with a decent ranking for greens in regulation and bogey avoidance.
The “Bear Trap” has accounted for 18% of all bogeys at the Honda Classic since 2007, 33% of all double bogeys, and 40% of all triple bogeys or worse. The tournament will be won or lost on this stretch of holes, so you’ll want a golfer who can conquer it.
Taking all of this into account, here are five sleeper picks to plug into your DraftKings lineups for the Honda Classic. Hopefully these golfers will allow you to free up some salary for the Rory McIlroys and Rickie Fowlers.
