Jordan Spieth is in the right form to hoist the trophy at the Valspar Championship for the second year in a row.

The PGA Tour‘s best have been preparing for the Masters for weeks, but now that the WGC-Cadillac Championship is almost done, the real run up to the year’s first major begins. The four main-stage events that stand between now and then–the Valspar Championship, Arnold Palmer Invitational, WGC-Dell Match Play and Shell Houston Open–will serve as important tune-ups as the golf world prepares itself for Augusta National.

For world No. 1 Jordan Spieth, last year’s Valspar Championship sparked a historic run that culminated with him donning a green jacket. He got through the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Golf Resort with a 10-under score for the week, then took down Patrick Reed and Sean O’Hair in a thrilling sudden death playoff for his second PGA Tour title. Fast forward 12 months, and he’s got seven, so the importance of the Valspar to his incredible rise can’t be overstated.

Who will be this year’s Spieth and gain that all-important momentum as the race to the Masters heats up? Let’s try to answer that question. Here are this week’s best bets for success at the Valspar Championship.
