They tend to do things in a big way in Myrtle Beach and Barefoot Resort is the creme de la creme if you’re looking for a high-end golf and lodging experience Myrtle Beach style. The host of Golf Channel’s Big Break-Myrtle Beach boasts four championship golf courses designed by Pete Dye, Greg Norman, Tom Fazio and Davis Love III.

You’ll have to stay long enough to play all four if you want a voice in the ongoing debate about which of the four is the best, but be advised that the Love course makes a strong case, on the strength of features like the ruins that serve as the backdrop of the par-4 fourth and sixth holes.

Barefoot Resort is a huge operation with a bit of everything for everybody, and whether you’re planning a golf buddies trip or a family getaway you’ll probably be able to snag a good package deal. It’s a family-friendly place and with the beach and shopping and eating all right at hand, the non-golfers won’t complain when you spend most of your time on the links.
